Intentional Forgiveness

I knelt down and offered you food,
drinks, money, and nak ta. Please
protect me while I honor your
presence. I am the child that has
come and asked for forgiveness. You
are higher than the mountains that
surrounded me. You are pristine, like
the waters that engage our bodies. If
it were not for you, I would not be
here in your presence. I love you. I
honor you. If I might have caused
you any wrongdoing, please forgive
me as I ask for pardon. You danced
at night like a snake moving through
the rivers. Protect me as you protect
the earth. I am forever your servant.
I burn my incense in memory of your
delightful iridescent glow.
