A Decades’ Love

Enchanted with glow,
swift like the rain
that bounces like pebbles
dancing like the full moon
that fills the crescent seduction
of the sun, that captures your
beauty.
Bending with ease, like the
proximity to your heart,
may the rose touch your
bruised skin, and become

soothed with the whisper
of healing.
Nothing has captured this
moment like your eyes
piercing through the other
side of the table. As a kiss
was waiting for you, seducing,
enticing and poignant that
both wanted to share.
Decades felt like a century; as one touched, it felt like
no days were ever left unnoticed.
Infinite like finite raptured
the sensationalized time recorded,
by the moon and sun.

Piercing to hold onto the decades of love,
and waiting for the call to say let’s go.

A flame that shines through your presence,
mountains couldn’t divide, the boundless
when held, even though you, love, scared
you once, as you ran away, it was inevitable
when present.

As the horses ran as the sun rose, it
was a testament to the sail that once
must take, and never know where it may
lead, the motion is endless, and this
love is infinite, like the love we share,
there’s no secret, but the sacred love
we’ve held for years.

  1. What a line “ As a kiss
    was waiting for you, seducing,
    enticing and poignant that
both wanted to share.” This is why I appreciate your writing so much.
