In the midst of a calm rising,
here comes a hurricane,
an earthquake–
To remind and shake
your core–
that death is near
and close–
Remind of your
values, principles
and your first love–
A spirit that lives
between the two of you-
and to take it off while
you are rising upstream–
Seasons of parades
has its days, and
time for reckoning
journeys when you
least expect it–
It pains the heart
when you never
belong, searching
for love, certainty
through the layers
of life–
As one age, feeling content
complacent by dying slowly
with heart scared with
abandonment, suffering,
heartache–
Never fully living
because never
gave time to rest–
Introspectively, it gives
one of the tools to value be
in gratitude and
understand the premise
of one’s presence–
Never allow pressure
to make indecisive conclusions
as one regrets the decisions
later on–
Allow permission to breathe,
exhale to enjoy the imperfections–
when others are pressuring your
the speed at an accelerated rate
because at the end of the journey
you are the only one that deals with
the head-on collision–
Desperation never yields great profit
margins–and that goes for everything
in life–
Listen to your heart and clear out
noise–
For you, it may give clarity, smooth
and comfortable ride to the end–
And the journey on your own time
is worth savoring rather than living
in misery and regret trying to appease
to everyone version of your life–
If it doesn’t work, leave,
if it makes you happy, joyful, abundant, stay–
it doesn’t provide you safety, love, and splendor– walk away
Never make a hasty decision because everyone is telling you what
are you waiting for, your time is limited, or your options are slim–
they are not going to be living your life if that doesn’t work–
Simple: opinions are like assholes, and everyone has one!
