New Years’ Memoradum

The new spinning has begun,
with daybreak at its helms,
soulful like the pearls
that tattooed on your heart,

As one cherishes the day,
not knowing what paradise
holds–

Secrets, hanging on to your
love–

Forbidden like the silence
held on the other side of the call–

A pain feeling the bullets
being pulled out–
Waiting to be healed
like a new season–

A kiss saved us both
and just like last night–

Holding to be by your side
while trying to climb to
heights–

All one can say, this love
is worth traveling far and wide
without any sight unseen–

A paradise only the blessed
and cherished can understand

Seas holding to the tides
that merge to forge the
unity of life

A beginning like the new year
and can be found in the
mystic air of unspoken
words–

So, silence is gold
as one stays reflective
for a season of
changes and blessings–

Quiet departures, ending
of relationships and the pain
of saying goodbye to those
who you once held dear in your
heart–

Life has taught me some things,
to never beg to stay relevant,
present when one doesn’t show
the same effort in return–

Stay close to those who
genuinely value your presence and
your essence because
that is true healing
in itself–

While embracing the new and improved
that is filled with enjoyment, success,
abundance with genuine relationships that
are here for a lifetime–

One must understand the principles
of that, some people come for a reason, season
or a lifetime–so take time and reflect
where you are placed in someone’s life–
