of complacency
Rather than thriving in the
glory of succession
Detailed in the bristle of
life but never sojourned
in the comfort of fluff
Saying yes to new
beginnings and
leaving away that
doesn’t fit the narrative
of yesterday
Love is always
comforting in the
hearts of those
who are open
to the blessings

all its bliss,
and saying thank
you for those that
have weathered away
because it has worn
