The Shine That Won’t Dim

Let them tell you to hide your light,
to tone down your brightness, to make them feel safe,
but you, with your soul of fire and star-kissed skin,
you were born to burn

They will say you are too much,
bold, radiant, and full of the universe,
but do not bend or lessen yourself
their dimness is not your burden to carry

Shine until the night breaks into dawn,
until the world wakes in awe of what they could not see,
for your glow is the gift the world needs,
a beacon, a flame, an unbreakable light—-
