Falling in Love Again

I caught a glimpse of her today,
a reflection I’d once turned away
she stood there, a quiet storm,
her edges softened, her heart reborn

Once, I chased love in the arms of others,
hoping they’d see the hues I’d smothered
but here she stands, eyes fierce and deep,
awake from a slumber that dared to keep

Oh, how the moonlight kisses her scars,
transforming wounds into radiant stars
she whispers secrets the world can’t know,
a symphony born of a silent glow

Her laughter hums like a sacred hymn,
a melody played from soul to skin
each curve, each crease, a story told,
no flaws but treasures spun from gold

I brush her cheek with tender hands,
tracing the map of where she’s been
her valleys, her peaks, her quiet streams,
a sanctuary built of shattered dreams

No need for mirrors, I see her clearly—
a woman unafraid, a heart sincere
her beauty is not just what’s in the light,
but the shadows she’s learned to love at night

I taste her freedom on my tongue,
like honeyed words forever unsung
and in her gaze, I find my place,
the universe painted in her face

Falling in love with her again,
no borrowed touch, no fleeting wind
just the steady pulse of her sacred beat,
a rhythm divine, profound, complete

So here I am, a lover anew,
savoring the beauty that’s always been true
for in her depths, I’ve found my part—
a woman whole, a healing heart–
