Sovereign Light

I was born free—
no chains, no vows, no borrowed dreams
Only the pulse of the cosmos in my veins,
the hush of destiny humming my name

I belong to no one’s shadow,
no tethered promise, no whispered claim
I am the breath between the stars,
the rhythm of the ocean’s untamed hymn

I rise, unburdened
Unmoved by hands that grasp,
unshaken by voices that demand
I fold, I bend, I shrink

No—
I am vast, luminous, untamed
A fire spun from ancient gold,
a force that will not dim

I stand firm,
lean into the wind,
let my breath be the song of my becoming
No savior outside of me—
only this heart, radiant and sure

I walk forward,
bathed in the glow of my own knowing
No attachments, no fear—
only the infinite light of me–
