Breath of Life, Song of the Hummingbird

The air swells with the hush of dawn,
soft as a whispered prayer—
the first inhale of Spring,
where love and light unfurl like silk
upon the trembling earth

A hummingbird hovers, a jeweled ember,
wings singing secrets of the sun,
its tiny heart a sacred drum,
beating in rhythm with the breath of life,
a hymn of renewal written in motion

I drink the golden hush of morning,
let the wind unravel my name,
each note a pulse of something ancient,
something unbroken—
a knowing older than time itself

The petals lean to the light,
soft lips kissing the sky,
and I, too, open—
barefoot upon the trembling earth,
arms wide as the branches of waking trees

Spring is a lover’s whisper,
the promise held in tender hands,
a touch that lingers in the air
like the song of hummingbirds—
brief, fleeting, eternal

I breathe it in,
savoring each note, each wingbeat,
until my spirit hums in harmony,
until I, too, become
the music of Spring–
