“I’ll Get Back to You (Eventually)”

I didn’t ghost you,
I’m just ghosting urgency.
Told my email, “Try again tomorrow,”
And my anxiety, “Take several seats.”

My heart sent a voice memo:
“Girl, breathe before you speak.”
But my brain wanted bullet points
By the end of the week.

You see, I’ve retired from
CEO of Overreacting.
Now I’m moonlighting as
Minister of Sacred Delays & Chill-Activating.

I used to reply with lightning,
Just to feel seen.
Now I sip tea with my intuition
And ask, “What does this mean?”

I’ve learned that power
Is not in the post.
It’s in the holy hesitation
Between the ghost and the boast.

So if I haven’t texted back,
No, I’m not dead.
I’m probably journaling,
Or talking to my plants instead.

Let’s normalize pausing
Before we combust.
Let’s give our nervous systems
A well-deserved trust.

Because my heart may whisper slow,
But baby, it’s never wrong.
It’s composing sacred symphonies
While y’all refresh all day long.

So here’s to the art
Of the spiritually late.
To those of us healing
At a God-given rate.

I may not be quick—
But I’m divinely aligned.
And I always respond…
Once I’ve consulted with time–
