DISCERNMENT, LOVE & INNER LISTENING

I have learned
that the world will always hum a little louder
When I’m finally ready to hear myself.

It’s almost comedic—
How life throws glittering distractions
like confetti at a parade I never asked to attend,
hoping I’ll chase the sparkle
instead of the truth.

But listen—
There is a rhythm beneath the noise,
a soft-bell clarity,
a sacred drumbeat only the soul can keep.

And when I tune in,
I swear the universe leans closer,
adjusts her crown,
and says,
“Ah, she’s awake again.”

Discernment has become my favorite love language—
the gentle “no” that saves my peace,
the elegant exit from chaos that doesn’t deserve my devotion,
the raised eyebrow at anything
that attempts to disturb the harmony I worked too hard to rebuild.

See, love is not just the tenderness I give;
it’s the wisdom I protect.
It’s choosing what nourishes
over what merely distracts.
It’s the sweet humor in realizing
Some lessons come dressed as people
who swear they’re opportunities—
But my intuition,
that brilliant woman,
whispers,
“Baby, that’s a detour wearing cologne.”

I laugh,
because growth is funny like that—
It teaches you to stop running toward noise
and start moving with intention.
It teaches you that peace
is the most seductive lover you’ll ever find,
and clarity
the most faithful companion.

I stand now—
poised,
elegant,
unbothered—
a woman who listens within
and answers only to love
that speaks her language:
rooted, radiant, discerning, divine.

And in this quiet brilliance,
I rise.
With humor as my halo,
with discernment as my compass,
with love—real love—
as the ground beneath every step–
