Who are you
When the room shifts?
There comes a moment
when every corner
asks a question.
Who are you
When the offer looks beautiful,
But your spirit hesitates?
Who are you
when the applause is loud,
But your discernment
Whispers no?
Making decisions
is not always
a grand performance.
Sometimes it is quiet.
Sometimes it is private.
Sometimes it is you
standing at the intersection
of desire and integrity,
asking whether the next step
honors the woman
You have worked so hard
to become.
That is where truth begins.
Not in the noise.
Not in the pressure.
Not in the pleasing.
But in the sacred pause
before you abandon yourself.
I have learned
that every decision
carries a vibration.
Some choices expand the spirit.
Others diminish it.
Some open the windows
of the soul.
Others drag you back
into antiquated versions
of yourself
that you have already
outgrown,
outlived,
and outprayed.
And let me be candid:
Not every open door
is divine.
Some doors
are distractions
with good lighting.
Some invitations
arrive dressed
in plausibility,
But carries confusion
in their hands.
Some opportunities
look abundant
until you realize
They require you
to negotiate away
your peace,
your voice,
your values,
or your self-respect.
No, thank you.
I have not come this far
to become despondent
in a room
I had no business entering.
Staying true to yourself
requires cogency.
A clear mind.
A steady heart.
The audacity
to choose alignment
over appearance.
It asks you
to stop mistaking urgency
for destiny.
To stop calling
inconsistency
a sign.
To admit
when something
no longer carries vitality,
even if you once
prayed for it.
That is the discipline.
To choose with grace.
To release without rancor.
To move
without needing everyone
to understand
the full architecture
of your decision.
There is a regal peace
that comes
When you stop explaining
your boundaries
to people committed
to misunderstand them.
There is luminous freedom
in knowing
Your life does not have
to be defended
at every corner.
Sometimes
the most powerful thing
You can say
is nothing.
Sometimes
the most sacred decision
is to turn,
gather your spirit,
and keep walking.
Very elegantly,
Of course.
Because staying true
to yourself
is not selfish.
It is restoration.
It is remembering
that your soul, it
is not a public square.
Your heartIt
is not a revolving door.
Your life
is not an experiment
for other people’s
indecision.
You are allowed
to choose
What nourishes you?
You are allowed
to decline
What drains you?
You are allowed
to walk away
from what once enchanted you
If it no longer honors
the woman standing here now.
At every corner,
Life will ask you
to decide.
Some choices
will be easy.
Others will ache.
Some will require silence,
prayer,
courage,
and an honesty
that trembles
before it stands upright.
Still,
Choose yourself.
Choose the path
That lets your breath deepen.
Choose the room
where your spirit
does not have to perform
for belonging.
Choose the love
that arrives with clarity.
Choose the work
that respects your gifts.
Choose the peace
that does not require
self-betrayal.
Choose the version of you
That is not begging,
chasing,
proving,
or apologizing
for her light.
That is where
The power is.
Standing at the corner
of possibility
and pressure,
lifting your chin,
trusting your discernment,
and saying
with full regality:
I know who I am.
I know what I stand for.
I know what I cannot
carry forward.
And anything meant for me
will not require me
to abandon myself
in order
to receive it–
