The Power of Elimination

There comes a season
when elimination
becomes sacred.

Not cruel.
Not callous.
Not born from rancor.

Simply necessary.

You begin to recognize
what diminishes vitality,
what distorts discernment,
what arrives dressed in plausibility
but carries no integrity.

And you release it.

The habit.
The attachment.
The antiquated sorrow.
The despondent conversation
that keeps asking
for another opportunity
to trespass against your peace.

No.

Freedom requires room.

It asks for cogency,
clean thresholds,
and the audacity
to remove what has outlived
its purpose.

Never underestimate
the power of freedom.

It changes the breath.

It straightens the spine.

It restores clarity
to the mind
and softness
to the body.

There is something luminous
about no longer negotiating
with what once made you small.

You do not have to leave angry.

You do not have to leave bitter.

You can leave with grace,
your dignity intact,
your spirit unencumbered,
and your heart still capable
of tenderness.

That is regality.

To know when enough
has become enough.

To understand
that every ending
does not deserve grief.

Some endings
deserve gratitude.

Some departures
are restoration.

Some goodbyes
are the first honest breath
you have taken
in years.

So let what must leave,
leave.

Let every fallacy
lose its dominion.

Let every false allegiance
find the door.

Let everything inauthentic
be filtered out
without spectacle.

And when the room
finally becomes quiet,
do not mistake
the spaciousness
for loss.

Beloved,
that is freedom.

That is your life
returning to you.

That is the sacred sound
of your own spirit
becoming audible again.

And sometimes
freedom does not roar.

Sometimes,
it is simply you
turning the lock,
walking toward the light,
and realizing
you no longer have
the slightest desire
to go back—
