Cleansed and Luminous

I cleanse
because my spirit deserves
a room with windows.

I stay fresh
because yesterday’s heaviness
has no jurisdiction
over my breath.

Let the water run.
Let the herbs speak.
Let the old rancor
leave quietly,
without ceremony.

I am not here
to carry antiquated sorrow
like an heirloom.

I choose cogency.
I choose clarity.
I chose the luminous discipline
of staying vibrationally elevated
When the world forgets
How to be gentle.

There is grace
in a clean threshold.

There is power
in a rested body.

There is discernment
in knowing what energy
no longer gets to enter.

I do not have to be bitter
to be wise.

I do not have to be loud
to be protected.

I do not have to explain
Why peace looks so beautiful
on me.

Let my aura stay polished.
Let my home stay blessed.
Let my mind remain clear.
Let my heart remain soft,
but not susceptible.

I am washed.
I am renewed.
I am radiant
without permission.

And every morning
I rise again,
fresh as daybreak,
poised in my regality,
positive by sacred choice,
and too luminous
to belong
to anything vague—
