May the sweet fruits arrive
with their red mouths open,
watermelon-ripe,
honeyed,
cool,
and copious.
May the juice run
like laughter
down the wrist
of a woman
who has finally learned
to receive
without apology.
There is something luminous
about sweetness
after a season
That asked too much
of the spirit.
A bowl of fruit.
A clean table.
A soft breeze.
A prayer answered
without spectacle.
These too
are blessings.
And look,
the sea is coming
to shore again,
divinely bright,
carrying light
in both hands.
It does not rush.
It arrives
wave by wave,
blue with promise,
gold at the edges,
with the quiet cogency
of what knows
It belongs.
Now Autumn begins
to gather herself
in the fields.
The harvest ripens.
The leaves turn.
The air becomes crisp
with sacred instruction.
The Autumn Equinox
stands at the threshold,
balancing light and shadow,
reminding me
that is what is planted
with intention
will know
When to rise.
Let the waters come.
Let the fruit ripen.
Let every antiquated sorrow
lose its dominion.
Let every fallacy
about lack
return to the dust.
I choose abundance
with discernment.
I choose joy
with vitality.
I choose sweetness
without becoming susceptible
to anything
that cannot honor
my regality.
May the harvest
meet my hands
with prosperity.
May the Equinox
steady my spirit
in balance, beauty,
and divine timing.
Let every bright thing
that carries my name
reach the shore
with grace.
I am ready
for blessings
that tastes like summer,
arrive like a harvest,
move like the sea,
and glow
as though heaven
remembered
where I live–
